What is Form I-765 utilized for?
Certain foreign nationals, who are qualified to work in the United States, use Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, to request consent to work. When working with workers, U.S. companies should request evidence of the worker's right to work.
U.S. residents and legal permanent citizens (permit holders) might work without requesting unique consent. Some nonimmigrants, short-term in nature, might be granted employment authorization upon demand from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). However, not all nonimmigrants are eligible for this advantage. Individuals granted employment authorization with an accepted Form I-765 get an employment permission file.
