1.2.1.05 Jobseeker payment (JSP) - description
What is JSP?
JSP is the working age payment that replaced NSA from 20 March 2020.
JSP is an earnings support payment that offers financial support to individuals aged 22 years to age pension age who have capability to work now or in the future and to meet shared responsibility requirements.
JSP will consist of access for people who have temporarily quit working or studying to recuperate from an illness or injury however who work or research study to go back to. When the incapacity ends, and unless exempted from mutual obligations requirements (3.11.5), a recipient should:
- take part in or want to take part in authorized activities, and/or task search, and - be prepared to participate in, adhere to or differ an existing Job Plan to satisfy the shared obligation requirements (3.11 ).

JSP was introduced on 20 March 2020. The following payments progressively ceased as part of the creation of JSP:
- NSA (1.2.1.10) (stopped on 20 March 2020). SA (1.2.5.30) (near to brand-new receivers on 20 March 2020 and stopped on 20 September 2020). BVA (near to new recipients on 20 March 2020 and ceased when all existing recipients completed their bereavement period).
