<br>1.2.1.05 Jobseeker payment (JSP) - description<br>
<br>What is JSP?<br>
<br>JSP is the working age payment that changed NSA from 20 March 2020.<br>
<br>JSP is an income support payment that offers financial assistance to people aged 22 years to age pension age who have capability to work now or in the near future and prepared to meet shared commitment requirements.<br>
<br>JSP will include access for people who have momentarily stopped working or studying to recuperate from a health problem or injury but who work or study to go back to. When the incapacity ends, and unless excused from shared responsibilities requirements (3.11.5), a recipient should:<br>
<br>- take part in or be willing to take part in authorized activities, and/or job search, and
- be prepared to participate in, comply with or differ an existing Job Plan to fulfil the shared obligation requirements (3.11 ).<br>
<br>How is JSP entitlement determined?<br>
<br>JSP is computed on a daily basis and is paid in financial obligations, normally in instalments of 14 days. Instalment periods of less than 14 days might be paid where an individual modifications their [payday arrangements](https://myjobasia.com).<br>

<br>Supplementary assistance<br>
<br>Recipients getting JSP MAY likewise get one or more of the following as part of their JSP rate:<br>
<br>- lease help (1.2.7.10).

<br>Bereavement payment arrangements<br>
<br>Following the death of a partner, the surviving member of a couple may be qualified for bereavement payments or a one-off partner bereavement payment<br>

<br>Background to JSP<br>
<br>JSP was presented on 20 March 2020. The following payments gradually ceased as part of the creation of JSP:<br>
<br>- NSA (1.2.1.10) (stopped on 20 March 2020).
SA (1.2.5.30) (near to new recipients on 20 March 2020 and stopped on 20 September 2020).
BVA (closed to brand-new receivers on 20 March 2020 and [visualchemy.gallery](https://visualchemy.gallery/forum/profile.php?id=4738545) ceased when all existing receivers finished their bereavement period).
WA (1.2.3.30) (near to brand-new receivers on 1 July 2018 and stopped on 1 January 2022).

PA (1.2.2.10) (near new recipients on 20 September 2003 stopped on 1 January 2022).
